The room is about 11'x13', fully furnished, it has a closet, a ceiling fan, internet wire, and it's own independent heating & cooling.Furnishings include a bed, dresser, small table, shelving, and a TV stand with TV/VCR and DVD.The house is rumored to be about 100 years old, and built when this neighborhood was the mill town for the steel mill that was where Atlantic Station is now.
The neighborhood is just across the freeway from Midtown, between Atlantic Station and Georgia Tech. The house is only a few blocks from Tech, about a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk to either the Midtown or Arts Center MARTA stations, or to Atlantic Station, and there are several bus routes within a few blocks. My daily commute to Midtown is about 10 minutes. The house also has off-street parking, a washer & dryer, dishwasher, gas stove & oven, microwave, WiFi internet, etc. There is a phone line, but it's primarily for the fax machine.I try to keep the house reasonably clean, but I don't have time to do it all myself; I'll expect you to help with that a bit, just basically taking care of whatever needs doing whenever you have time to.
The rent includes everything you'll have to pay for to live in this house. All utilities, internet, cable TV, and common supplies like light bulbs and laundry detergent. There's no deposit, rather you pay the last month in advance, and give at least one months notice before moving out. It's a 4-bedroom house and right now there are two empty rooms, one occupied, and of course one that I live in.The other empty room is advertised separately, it's basically the same deal but a bigger room & not furnished.
Personally, I'm a former circus performer, now working at a software company and going back to college part-time, and still doing a little bit of performing-related stuff.I'm recently out of debt from my starving artist days, and I'm saving up to go back to school full time.I don't have much free time, I tend to keep to myself, but I do think it's nice hang out with my housemates now and then.I often watch TV at the end of the day, which for me is generally between 9:30 and 11:30pm.The other occupied room right now is rented by a graphic designer at Creative Loafing, he watches movies & plays video games alot.He also has two cats, so if you're allergic stay away.We don't hang out much, but he usually exceeds the threshold of being a decent guy who pays the rent. When you reply to this ad, please tell me something about who you are and what you're up to, as well as how long you have in mind to stay.
