Base Pay:<>$17p/hr Other: Employee Type:Full-Time Employee Industry: Department:Finance/Accounting Required Education:Bachelors Degree Required Experience:3+ Required Travel:NA Relocation Covered:No Description POSITION SUMMARY: Reconciles, analyzes, monitors and reports all restricted programs in accordance with MSM financial policies and procedures, applicable to federal regulations, agencyand donor stipulations. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reconciles assigned restricted fund accounts and ensures accuracy thereof.Determines and proposes journal entries as necessary to recover indirect cost.Determines and proposes journal entries for account reclasses, accounts receivable, fund balances, revenue match, inter fund accounts, draw down allocations, etc., as required.Provides amounts and supporting documentation to facilitate weekly drawdowns.Reviews and analyzes accounts as necessary.Draw down reimbursements for letter of credit payments. Interacts with other units within the finance office and other institutional personnel to research items on the general ledger and budget, and facilitate monthly close out of restricted fund accounts.Researches compliance issues related to financial matters. On a monthly basis, tracks and updates the status of grants and contracts as assigned per workflow. Performs annual close out audits of each contract year to ensure (1) complete and accurate charges (2) all federal and other reports filed and (3) other regulations/stipulations have been followed.Ensures general ledger properly reflect results of closeout grants and contracts. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides timely reports and analysis of reports as requested; and provides information to facilitate annual audits.Work closely with auditors. Properly and timely determines and provides rollover and carryover amounts of each grant and contract assigned.Provides timely and accurate carryover budget information to budget analyst as required. Prepares all necessary scheduled financial reports needed for closeout of a budget or award period. Prepares federal, state and other donor stipulated financial reports.Prepares required financial reports, invoices, forms and documents in a timely manner for supervisor。ヲs review and approval as required. Communicates with principal investigators and administrators for a plan of action or reconciles accounts.Calculates and provides timely and accurate accounts receivable information related to assigned grants and contracts. Keeps abreast of regulatory matters involving financial compliance as required.Attends workshops and CPE seminars to keep abreast of regulatory changes.Keep abreast of changes through reading news releases, federal registers, etc.Consult with grant administrators, PI。ヲs and other as appropriate. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: ボMust have extensive knowledge of the general ledger. ボThorough knowledge of pre and post award administration. ボKnowledge of fund accounting principles, and compliance of federal and state rules and regulations. ボSkill in interpretingbudgets, grants and contracts. ボSkill in planning, managing assignments, maintaining schedules, monitoring program priorities, organizing, and working with minimum supervision. ボMust be detail oriented, accurate, analytical, and organized; with the ability to maintain confidentiality. ボSkill in maintaining filing systems, manually or automated. ボSkill in utilizing a computer and knowledge of software packages. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with the MSM community, external personnel, and the general public; must be customer service and deadline oriented.
