Postion Summary
Senior design engineer responsible for the analysis, test, documentation, and support of Li Ion battery packs and embedded chargers. Design of Li Ion battery packs and embedded linear and switching charger circuits. Embedded microcontroller hardware and firmware design. Design analysis (mathematical and simulation). Designer verification testing of battery packs and chargers. Factory and field failure analysis. Evaluation and approval of vendors including cell vendors.
Requires 1 2 International trips per year.
Required Skills
Formal Education BS Electrical Engineering Experience (type & duration): 6 years Skills: Rechargeable battery technologies: Li Ion in both battery pack & embedded charger design (linear & switching). Embedded microcontroller, hardware & firmware. Design analysis using Mathcad, Spice & Excel. Designer testing of packs and chargers and documentation of designs.
