ARL Director of Engineering Job Description: Responsibilities *To direct a team of Electrical engineers, Mechanical engineers and technicians that provide laboratory testing for small businesses * Work on Compliance programs for NRTL * Executing compliance plan requirements in a timely and cost effective manner. * Documentation control of compliance plans. * Work with team to develop new processes needed for executing compliance requirements. * Work with team, or independently, to ensure companies are in compliance with NRTL * Performs other duties as provided by management Qualifications * Fluent in English, verbal and written * BS Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred or other disciplines with related experience * Must have a valid Professional Engineering License * Minimum of 10+ years engineering experience. * Minimum of 5+ year managerial experience. * Team player and ability to self-direct * Microsoft Office application expertise {Excel, Word, Powerpoint} Desired * Experience working in testing laboratories * Proven ability to expediently resolve technical issues. * Project Management skills. * Knowledge of Auto-CAD or equivalent, strongly suggested General * Some travel will be required in this role {25%} * Compensation 95,000 – 145,000 ARL is an equal opportunity employer, offering a great work environment, challenging career opportunities, professional training and competitive compensation.
