Description:
•Provides ongoing Siebel application support and maintenance of all the Siebel environments, including application monitoring, issue resolution, and working with the appropriate technical support staff (internal and vendor).
•Primarily supports the production Siebel environment, but assists as needed with the development; test; and conversion environments.
•Assists in release and migration planning.
•Plays a role in the creation of new technical environments and establishing appropriate standards and strategies for these environments.
•Participates in application release process.
•Manages Siebel servers monitoring the logs and statistics reports; updating the server software as appropriate, providing backup and disaster recovery, and troubleshooting hardware and software problems in order to provide a reliable Siebel environment for end users.
•Interacts with the Help Desk, the Network Operations Center, LAN/WAN engineers, and other staff to provide second and third level support.
•Consults with Siebel developers on issues related to the impact of development on the corporate Siebel infrastructure.
•Provides training for new users.
•Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
•Minimum of two years of Siebel experience.
•Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and communicate complex technical analysis to technical and non-technical audiences.
•Strong technical skills with the ability to coordinate and ensure the success of Siebel deployments.
•Excellent problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
•Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
Special Mental or Physical Demands:
•Self-starter with ability to organize work for others.
•Ability to work well under pressure and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Must be available to work flexible hours.
•Experience in Siebel Application Administration and Siebel 7.x.
•Proficiency in writing SQL and previous experience with Oracle desired.
•Technical Architecture: Siebel.
•Experience installing, configuring, and tuning Siebel Server, Siebel Gateway, Siebel Web Server Extensions, Siebel Database Server, and Siebel File System. Version 7.x is required.
•Tuning and performance improvement skills in a Siebel 7.x environment.
•Experience with Siebel Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) data flows and Enterprise Integration Manager (EIM) and EIM Interface tables, Siebel Server Process Monitor, Workflow Manager, and Assignment Manager is desired.
