I have a need for a Mac OS X desktop application that does the following:
- provides for simple data-entry of basic types of information (records and fields)
- provides for review of this data on the desktop
- stores this data locally
- syncs this data with a current Web app (interface TBD) so that the same data is available on the desktop or on the web site in near real-time
- provides for offline entry/adjustment/viewing of data
- has a hotkey for "quick entry" of certain data from the desktop
The application can be created in phases (by amount/kind of data being synced) to ensure that the technology is working, before we work towards developing the full solution.
I prefer the application to be developed in Xcode.
After a possible face-to-face/phone meeting to settle on requirements, I expect all the work can be accomplished remotely, communicating by email/phone/IM as required.
I prefer a contract approach to the work instead of hourly. Also, I'd like a timeframe as part of a mini-proposal.
Because time is of the essence, I prefer an experienced developer, but I will accept proposals from students or beginners.
