Duties:
Direct the necessary data collection required for benchmarking, cost analysis, compliance reporting, and price negotiations. Communicate recommendations based on information derived from benchmark information.
Identify areas of cost possible cost reduction and lead yearly cost reductions activities
Manage supply base for production parts, components and systems through subordinates.
Take charge of cost control for purchased parts and maintain the cost within budget
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible supply chain experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
OEM or parts components supplier experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and organizational skills
Long-term planning and strategy development
Ability to lead people and get results through others
Develop and define priorities and take appropriate action consistent with company objective
In depth knowledge of supply chain and accounting processes
In depth knowledge of auto industry
Education:
Bachelors Degree in related discipline – Masters Preferred
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) preferred
