PRODUCTION CONTROLLER

We are currently looking for a Production Controller in the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, which is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast growing company. As a Production Controller you will serve as a back up to the Department Manager when he/she is not available to resolve problems or issues that may arise.

The company’s Service Bureau solution consists of processing and support services coupled with professional services opportunities.

You will be responsible for:
•Providing support and service to external clients, with respect to Data Center Operations.
•Handling shift and production scheduling ensuring resource allocation and production schedules are met.
•Compiling and formalizing daily log sheets and creates statistical reports on an as required basis. (Service Levels, KPI, etc)
•Organizing and maintaining required SAS70 documentation.
•Performing system housekeeping and system checks.
•Providing information to software support staff and communicates information on procedures.
•Ensuring all processes are well documented, including escalation procedures.
•Coordinating the training of new operators.
•Leadership & staff preparedness with the ability to affect improvement.
•Providing feedback for the purposes of staff performance management.
•Standards & Efficiency monitoring.
•Responding to complaints, suggestions for improvement, requests for changes and related items.
•Providing leadership to resolve quality issues.
•Participating in internal meetings to maintain an understanding of current and future plans, and contributes to the attainment of key goals related to the data center.
•Contribute to the attainment of key goals related to the operations center.

•Handling assignments across varying areas of expertise and is usually called upon to perform in multiple roles.
•Assisting Computer Operations with production processing on Unisys, AS400, Windows and Xerox environments, on an as needed basis.
•Application initiation and system monitoring.
•System backup initiation/support.
•Production and hardware issue escalation.
•Media library; CD/DVD processing
•File Transfer Protocol (FTP) initiation, monitoring
•Laser Printing; Failed Job Escalation.
•Understanding the Disaster plan set forth by Intec, functionality of Intec’s internal security features.

We are looking for:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field combined with 3-5 years experience in computer operations
•IBM AS400 experience is a must. Strong Windows PC knowledge (UNIX knowledge is a plus).
•Knowledge of computer operations production environments.
•Understanding of the concepts and theories of hardware and operating systems.
•Developed analytical problem-solving skills are required to develop solutions to complex problems which require the use of ingenuity and creativity.
•Highly developed communication skills required to develop and present material for routine business processes and project status.
•Demonstrated tactical and some strategic critical thinking.
•Ability to attain knowledge of the Intec products and services related to computer operations.
•Ability to plan and organize activities required in supporting client’s needs for production processing.
•Sound decision making ability.
•Strong Windows PC knowledge (UNIX knowledge is a plus).
•MS Excel knowledge.
•Ability to multi-task.
•Excellent interpersonal communication skills oral and written.
•Reliable team player with demonstrated leadership qualities.
•Willingness to cross-train in other areas.

Candidates must be able to work:
•Within the requirements of a production department that supports data center operations.
•Monday - Friday (some weekends and holidays) Overtime will be required as needed to support the operations.
o1st Shift:6:30AM – 3:00 PM
o2nd Shift:12NOON – 8:30PM
