Duties Include:
The production supervisor is accountable to the Production Manager. Supervisor is responsible for and accountable for planning, organizing, staffing, leading/directing and controlling the production commitments of his/her work unit. This responsibility applies to the department’s employees, processes, equipment, resources, work instructions, practices, procedures and policies. This responsibility supports the achievement of departmental productivity and efficiency standards required to produce quality products and/or services that meet internal and external customer expectations. The production supervisor has an overall responsibility to treat co-workers, customers and suppliers with respect and to base his/her actions with co-workers, customers and suppliers on facts. The production supervisor functions as the “eyes and ears” of senior management and must alert the production manager about any indication that some employees feel unfairly treated by the company. All of these responsibilities and accountabilities are to be achieved in a safe work environment that protects the employees’ personal health and safety and the department’s processes, equipment and resources, all within established authority parameters. The production supervisor will recognize that from time to time work hours will need to be flexible (extended shift or weekend work) to meet the plant’s commitments to its customers. All of these responsibilities depend on the supervisor establishing the consistent use of English as the primary language for speaking, listening, writing, and reading among the employees for whom he/she is responsible.
REQUIRED SKILLS
•Bachelors degree preferred/associates degree will work
•Someone high end that needs no training
•Assembly and Inventory control experience
•3+ years manufacturing experience
•SAP, AS 400
•Key words…Lean manufacturer,work flow, MRP, inventory control, JD 400
•$52-$60k
•3 months Temp to perm
