We are a large construction company and we need a Production Operation Specialist.This role will be under the supervision of the Production Operations Manager and Director of Operations, performs tasks related to maintaining all information systems with emphasis on the Windows Operating Systems applications. The Production Operations Specialist I is responsible for performing tasks to maintain the integrity and security of 200+ Windows servers and various systems, which support the business processes.
•Executes programs and supports systems for remote office servers
•Performs tasks related to the maintenance of servers and uses tools for administering the Windows platform, both as a server and a client operating system
•Assists in creating and maintaining information technology system documentation, ensuring this it is timely, accurate and complete
•Performs tasks related to supporting the operation of application server systems according to accepted industry standards
•Performs tasks related to installation of new releases of Operating System and user applications (maintains images)
•Performs tasks related to reviewing simulation and/or testing of system and/or system components, particularly the simulation and/or testing of unusually complex or critical systems or system components under the direction of the Production Operations Manager and Director of Operations
•Will be required at times to work outside normal business hours in order to support servers, systems, and services without impeding the staff’s access to these servers, systems, and services during normal hours of business
•Will be required to provide 7x24 coverage when needed
•Performs related duties as required
Requirements:
•B.S. in Computer Science and 2-5 years of applicable work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
•MCSE Required
•Significant experience with and knowledge of Windows operating systems and support tools, or specific applications related to the Windows operating server environment, such as Exchange or Active Directory
•Prefer some experience with analyzing and troubleshooting problems related to the Windows Operating system and auxiliary services or applications
•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form
•Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people effectively
•Ability to establish work priorities and take direction from peers
•Ability to handle gracefully under pressure difficult overlapping problems while working independently
•Experience preparing informal technical documentation
•Drug screen, background check, and social security # verification
•Ability to work outside of normal business hours as required
