Summary
Responsibilities for the Production Support Developer position include troubleshooting application issues, finding and fixing source code problems, communicating with application stakeholders, creating Incident Reports and facilitating the associated meetings with stakeholders. This individual must be able to communicate extremely well, proactively follow up on issues, and use creative critical thinking skills to improve our procedures and methodologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Troubleshoot application issues
Find and recommend fixes in application code bases
Communicate with management and stakeholders
Create application outage Incident Reports
Hold Incident Report meetings with stakeholders
Perform production acceptance, including placing software into production and managing the build process
Improve build processes and methodologies
Participate in and sometimes lead Team initiatives to improve our products
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position involves some technical supervisory responsibilities and project oversight responsibilities.Individuals may be asked to mentor a more junior person.No personnel management is required.

Education and/or Experience
A bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or related field, or equivalent work experience
3+ years of software development experience
Strong experience with Perl, Python/Jython, BeanShell, JavaScript, or other scripting language
Knowledge of Web Application Architecture and/or Web Interfaces is a plus
Mathematical Skills
Strong knowledge of mathematics typically associated with programming
Reasoning Ability
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and creative problem solving skills
Ability to balance and manage multiple tasks
Ability to understand the big picture, think outside the box and offer suggestions to improve overall operation
