Mission:
The Quality Assurance Engineer・s mission is to insure the timely delivery of quality software products into production that meet stated functional and performance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Test plan development, maintenance, and execution while leading test cycles for system, regression, and final acceptance testing.
- Accurate defect tracking and resolution for GUI, database, and application and architecture testing.
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of the QA test lab in support of all testing activities.
- Juggle the activities of multiple projects while working in a team environment with architects, developers, project managers, and product managers to ensure the timely delivery of quality products into production.
- Detail oriented, ensuring that processes are followed, results are recorded and defect reports are created and tracked.
- Successful candidate will have a strong bias for benchmarking and creating automated test scripts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree.
- QA or Engineering background with web-based applications utilizing Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 operating systems and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 databases.
- Ability to learn new tools and systems quickly.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with XML, XSLT, and DTDS to create and modify xml structures and contents.
- Ability to read and understand VBS and/or VBA.
Desired Attributes:
- Knowledge of logistics business process is highly desired.
- Experience with testing applications involving EDI, DB, and Web interfaces is highly desired.
- Knowledge of supply chain management business processes.
- Experience with defect tracking systems. Knowledge of Mantis is a plus.
- Experience with Source Code Control Systems.Knowledge of Perforce is a plus.
- Knowledge of CompuWare tools such as TestPartner, QADirector, QALoad or other automated testing products
- Experience in release management, configuration management and build management processes.
- Experience working with VMware virtual machines
