This was conducted through combing newspapers for unreported hate incidents, interviewing victims, and interacting with community leaders such as ministers, Imams, and Rabbis in order to gather information. As the State of Alabama at that time reported zero hate crimes to the government every year, we prepared a report on hate crimes in Alabama which we delivered to the Governor of Alabama as well as other agencies. 2001 – 2002Intern The People’s History Museum Prattville, AL I assisted in organizing exhibits for the museum as well as conducted fundraisers.
