Silverpop, a leading provider of permission based email solutions and services, is experiencing tremendous growth and is hiring a Billing Specialist who will have day-to-day responsibility for the contract billing functions of the Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and accurately inputting client contract data into automated contract billing system so that proper billing and revenue recognition transactions are created, interacting with Sales, Legal, Client and Professional Services areas as needed.
Responsible for preparation and distribution of timely and accurate monthly billings.
Audit and prepare credit memo requests and submit to Billing Manager for approval to resolve billing errors or discrepancies.
Create and maintain customers in current systems. (Peachtree, Softrax, QuickBooks..)
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Must have three to five years of finance or accounting experience, ideally in the software industry.
Prior billing, contract management and/or revenue recognition experience required, as well as use of Softrax, Great Plains, Peachtree or other automated billing systems
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE
Ability to accurately analyze financial and contractual data and communicate meaningful information to management
Clear understanding of accounting practices and controls in a high transaction environment; technology and software industry experience a plus
High energy level with outstanding technical and inter-personal skills; polished presentation and communication skills
Team-oriented professional effective in working with other functional areas within the organization.
Self-starter with strong business acumen; unquestionable integrity and honesty
Compensation is commensurate with background and experience.
