Finance Group currently manages $3.8 billion in receivables and purchases approximately $190 million in receivables monthly from operations nationwide. The position will provide the right candidate with a very challenging and rewarding opportunity to help build a growing, successful business. The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following: Prepare monthly loan origination related journal entries Analyze loan origination gain and interest income accounts and provide variance explanations Prepare quarterly securitizations revaluation analysis and prepare related journal entries Monthly cash flows actual vs. model analysis Accounting for public securitization sales and buybacks Review monthly management financial reporting package and presentation Prepare and analyze monthly securitization retained interest valuation reconciliation Prepare SEC quarterly reporting documentation (Press Releases, 10Qs, 10Ks, etc.) Communication and coordination with Home Office Treasury and Financial Reporting departments Prepare annual budgets and monthly/quarterly forecasts for loan origination related accounts Build and maintain budgeting and forecasting models for loan origination related financial statement and statistical accounts Create and maintain general ledger accounts rulebook for loan origination related accounts Research and documentation of related Accounting Pronouncements and Standards External auditors main contact Maintain SOX documentation as it relates to loan originations and securitizations Creation and development of processes, documentation and reports Perform process evaluations and develop efficiency improvements Periodic senior level review of accounting analyst and specialist work Resource and support for accounting analysts and specialists Special projects Position Requirements The ideal candidate would possess the following qualities: 4 year Accounting Degree Finance related degree and/or experience a plus Minimum of 2 years accounting/analyst experience Experience with research, interpretation and application of Accounting Pronouncements and Standards Public accounting experience preferred CPA certification preferred Presentation experience Ability to evaluate and analyze data independently Excellent attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Effective project management skills Proven initiative and creative approaches to problem solving Proven experience initiating and executing process improvements Experience using Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level Proven ability to perform in a fast paced and growing environment Flexibility and dependability Click here to apply online
