We are currently seeking a qualified Telecommunications Infrastructure Support Consultant for an excellent contract opportunity in the greater Atlanta, GA area.
This contract is expected to last a minimum of 18 months with the high likelihood of contract extension and /or full time conversion.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Telecommunications Infrastructure Support Consultant will provide design and engineering of SONET and DWDM optical networks for customers around the Atlanta metro area.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing Network Design, post sales engineering, network management, technical solutions, and operational analysis customers around the Atlanta metro area
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Systems knowledge requirements are DWDM and SONET transport, networking technologies and protocols (Fast/Gigabit Ethernet, L2 and L3 Switching, VLANs, ATM, Frame Relay, FR-ATM Service Interworking, SNMP).
- Hardware knowledge requirements include CISCO and Nortel DWDM Optical Network Switch gear, routers and switches.
- Experience required with installation and maintenance of DWDM/SONET networks.
- Customer interface skills required.
- Candidates may be required to work off hours.
- In-depth knowledge of MS Windows 98/2000/NT and MSOffice (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Outlook) required.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentations skills required.
