Change of Atmosphere (COA), a project of the Foundation for Global Sustainability a non-profit organization, is working with Sweetwater 420 Fest in Candler Park Atlanta (http://www.pemi.net/420fest/) to provide environmental education through workshops and interactive educators.
Change of Atmosphere’s Green Educators- We are looking for 15-20 knowledgeable, passionate, creative, and out-going educators to interact with festival-goers and provide support in the workshop & non-profit areas.
Come spread the good word about energy efficiency and sustainable practices, through street theatre, conversations, and workshop outreach.
What will green educators do?
Perform costumed active and passive street theatre throughout the festival grounds
Meet and talk with festival-goers, about a green pledge drive, sustainability solutions, etc
Distribute waste management information
Recycle after/between acts- while having a great time, dancing and encouraging recycling participation
Help to facilitate interactions between non-profits & festival-goers
Facilitate workshops- be the walking-talking publicity
Have Fun!
What is expected?
Arrive at the festival site at least 1 hour early, April 19, by 11AM for training
4-5 hours per day (Sat & Sun) of volunteer time
Provide your own transportation in/to the Atlanta area: Candler Park is near a MARTA station
Be familiar with talking points &
Be on time and ready to change the world for your scheduled shifts (that means sober and with a smile)
