We are currently recruiting for a SENIOR ACCOUNTANT position for a great client in the Atlanta area. This client offers a good work/life balance and advancement potential.
PURPOSE OF POSITION: The position will involve heavy month end close duties, general ledger business unit accounting, balance sheet, journal entries, reconciliations and implementation of accounting procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•GL accounting and monthly close responsibilities.
•Review other accountants work.
•Financial statement preparation.
•Internal management reporting.
•Financial analysis.
•Financial project management.
•Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
•Payroll, commission calculations, and bonus calculations.
•Review of and/or preparation of external reporting for federal, state, and local governments including:
oSales taxes
oProperty taxes
oBusiness licenses
o1099 reporting
•Assist Manager of Finance with projects or analysis as necessary.
•Additional projects and duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•Bachelor’s degree and accounting experience is required.
•CPA or a CMA is preferred.
•Oracle financials experience preferred.
•Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook
