Respected, established Midtown firms seeks Senior Accountant to join 10 person accounting team.Senior Accountant must be well versed in administrative management of a mid-size firm’s general accounting transactions; experience with general ledger, all subsidiary ledgers, month-end processes and related reporting, and supervision of other accountants, is mandatory.4 year degree in Accounting also required.Responsibilities include:Perform GL portion of month-end closing procedures and review monthly financial statements and related reports; review daily financial report, cash flow, and line of credit information prepared by the GL Accountant; Supervise, develop and evaluate General Ledger and Escrow Accountant – provide backup during absences; review monthly bank reconciliations including the various trust accounts; enhance reporting processes/tools by gaining a thorough working knowledge and understanding of various software applications; maintain fixed asset system and related reporting/analysis (property taxes for 3 offices and annual asset review); support the annual audit, tax returns and budget processes by preparing schedules, analysis and other items; provide support and back up to AP; import vendors bills such as Amex, Fed Ex, and other high volume invoices to increase efficiencies; plan financial system upgrades; develop fixed asset tag system; cross train with Accounting Supervisor and provide backup supervisions to AP and Billing during absence; and any other accounting related tasks as directed by the Controller or firm management.Compensation is based on experience and very competitive; please include salary requirement when submitting resume.
