Senior Business Analyst Needed:
A computer company of about 25 employees located in Alpharetta, Georgia is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst.This company remanufactures and resells data and telecommunications equipment, and also purchases used equipment; disassembles it; recovers it at the module level.They then resell modules and custom configurations to order.
Position Overview:
Senior level Business/Systems Analyst reports to executive management and is responsible for company achieving more optimum leverage from innovative and clever use of information technology.Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
Responsibilities:
-Conducts business process reengineering and work simplification studies.
-Identifies the company’s business needs and compares to functions and capabilities provided by Microsoft Dynamics GP application.Identifies any required enhancements to the GP base application.
-Project Management: utilizes Microsoft Project to produce and maintain detailed project plans.
-Has regular status meetings with executive management and keeps them informed of the status of all identified projects.
-Produces budget forecasts for projects and tasks and obtains needed financing from executive management.
-Collaborates with IT administrator to keep them focused and productive.
-Receives training and is the designated backup/emergency IT administrator.
Required Experience:
-10 + Years in a Business Analyst role or similar experience with the above responsibilities
-Previous experience with the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics GP
-A deep understanding of requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, verification, and management practices and the ability to apply them in practice
-Languages/Methodologies: UML, Use Case creation, workflow design, diagramming techniques i.e. block sequence, physical, interaction and system diagrams.
-Understand design issues related to GUI usability, workflow, GUI scalability, performance etc
-Modeling skills, ability to represent requirements information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language.
-Demonstrates competency in the use of Microsoft Office software, specifically: Word, Project and Visio.Skill with AutoCAD is a major plus.
-Understand relational database concepts and specifically database normalization.
