Duties:
Under broad supervision, evaluate and review designs, drawings, and specifications for new buildings/structures and for renovation projects. Serve as the point of contact on construction projects, building codes, and all applicable state, federal, and local laws.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an undergraduate degree in the required engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Fire Sprinkler) from an accredited college or university, and six (6) years of diversified and related experience in design, construction document review, building/fire codes and construction administration, two years of which includes supervising professional engineering staff. Must have Professional Licensure in area of discipline in the state of Georgia. Must have valid state of Georgia driver’s license and be capable of traveling statewide.

Must demonstrate excellent, interpersonal, organizational, analytical and communicational skills and possess the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse organization. Must possess the ability to read and interpret contracts, construction documents, and Building and Life Safety Codes. Must exemplify leadership and initiative and capable of planning and prioritizing work. Must be committed to quality service and capable of identifying solutions to complex problems; self directed and time-line driven. Considerable knowledge of building construction documents, Georgia State Minimum Standards Codes, Georgia State Fire and Accessibility Codes, and Americans with Disability Act is required. Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
