Senior .Net Developer
Our client is a rapidly growing consumer technology company with a proven retail product and national visibility. They recently began an initiative to bring the core technologies in our consumer products to corporate and small businesses. This group, known as the SMB group, is looking for an exceptional Senior Software engineer to help them deliver our new suite of products. Combining software and hardware, these products will democratize document management and help small and medium businesses organize and structure paper and electronic documents. The SMB group combines the excitement of a startup with the stability of an established company with well defined products and proven sales. They are looking to build a development team in the Atlanta area to supplement their 55 person Philadelphia staff.
Candidates must be able to hit the ground running and thrive in an environment of talented engineers. They should be energenic, self motivated and have extensive experience developing .NET applications. A major plus would be experience in creating Microsoft Office add-ins using .NET.
Essential Job Functions
Design, develop and maintain Microsoft Office based commercial software using Microsoft .Net platform
Develop solutions for all tiers of the application: user interface, middle-tier business components, database layer, etc.
Ensure development and source code management standards are followed
Produce detailed technical documentation
Ensure quality of project deliverables
Thorough understanding of conceptual, logical and physical design documentation
Design and develop unit tests
Assist in integration and user acceptance testing of project components
Required Skills
5+ years of experience developing in the .NET framework (C#)
Knowledge of OO development principles, design patterns (Model-View Controller, Model-View-Presenter, Active Record, etc), multi-tier application
design and relational database principles
Experience or desire to work in an Agile (Scrum) project team development environments
Required Technology expertise include C#, Win32 API, Multithreading, and XML
Experience working with Agile (Scrum) project team development environments.
Desired Skills
Experience in any of the following areas will help candidates standout:
MS Office Automation through VBA or COM
Detailed Knowledge of the following Microsoft Office Application object models: Excel, Outlook, Word and/or PowerPoint
Office 2007 Ribbon development
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server development
Non-Tech Skills
Strong problem solving skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
