Manage the assigned proces, Primary (Tufting/Warping), in order to maximize safety, quality, efficiency while ensuring conformance to product specifications. Continuously seek cost-saving opportunities throughout the processes.

Work on projects as assigned by the Major Operating System (MOS) Manager, Plant Engineer, or Plant Manager. Measure and report (SPC) process parameters relating to downtime, off-quality, run-efficiency, raw material utilization, and waste.

Analyze systems and procedures to determine the most efficient methods for performing work. Implement new technologies or automation which will improve efficiencies, safety, and reduce costs. Assist in the budgeting process.

Responsible for reviewing and redefining the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance plan. Assist with resolving Process Improvements. Understand and ensure compliance to Shaw Quality System, Shaw Environmental System, and SAFE.

Responsible for acting as project manager for assigned projects and completing Six Sigma projects on an ongoing basis. Actively participate on the Technology Transfer Team.

Required Knowledge and Skills: Must be Certified Project Management (CPM) trained and have managed 2 projects.

Six Sigma Greenbelt required. Blackbelt preferred. Must have managed 2 Six Sigma projects. Understanding of the Measurement of Work (i.e. time studies, frequency checks). Working knowledge of automation and it's principles.

Must have a four year college degree in engineering and one to two years of experience.

Salary Grade 6.
