Position Summary They are seeking a Senior Project Designer(SPD) who will develop and implement design solutions for complex projects that meet marketing objectives and goals.Within the studio, the PD works with Design Director (DD) in coordinating design teams to achieve the best solution, while properly managing complex projects with multiple resources.Up to fifty percent of candidate’s time in this role will be hands on.He/she will report to the VP, Director of Design and co-ordinate project scheduling and resources through the Director of Creative Operations.While others may be assigned, the essential duties and responsibilities include the following: •Assisting in project planning, workflow management, vendor negotiations, cost control, quality control, and logistical coordination. •Creative development and execution of big ideas and design strategies with a focus on specific project solutions. •Daily interaction with clients and staff as required and handle multiple design projects and prioritized jobs/workloads •Managing internal and external resources for preparing and presenting proposals/concepts within directed budgets to maximize profit margins •Ability to handle other essential tasks an multiple clients as assigned and exercise good management skills to maintain productivity Qualifications The ideal candidate will be someone who has many, if not all the required skills, with first and foremost superior conceptual ability, as well as client facing capability and experience managing large retail design projects.He/she must have a high level of creativity and strong familiarity with larger projects in retail, consumer packaged goods, quick serve restaurants and hospitality, and/or banking and financial services. He/she will have 5-7 years experience and demonstrate the following: Conceptual Ability Excellent hands-on creative and creative direction skills in retail design, with ability to develop concepts, inspire and support a team of designers to develop their ideas. Creative Leadership Experience and ability to hire, inspire and lead a team with diverse talent with a positive, enthusiastic and dynamic spirit, raising them to a high level of creative work. Must possess both an inspiring personality and have a can do attitude. Should be open and respectful of the team, while clear and firm in leading creative work. Presentation/ Client Facing Capability Experience and ability to ensure the development of high quality creative pitches and presentations to clients and handle client relations, together with the consulting and account teams. Management Ability to manage complex projects with multiple resources, Studio Directors and Creative Program Managers. Implementation Proven track record of successful project outcomes and results in a cost-effective, high quality, competent and efficient manner. Requirements •Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college, University or art school in Graphic Design •Proficient in Quark, Illustrator, Freehand and Photoshop. Other Up to (30)% travel
