We currently have an opening for a forward-thinking, team-oriented senior SQL Server Database Administrator. Candidates must be creative, highly motivated, responsible, and have a passion for solving complex, technical problems.
Job Summary
Cosairus has an immediate full time employment opportunity for a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA). The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005.
Responsibilities/Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
•Configuring SQL Server for optimum performance and fault tolerance
•Query Optimization
•Troubleshooting performance bottlenecks
•Specifying hardware configuration for new SQL Servers
•Installing and configuring reporting services (including IIS configuration)
•Monitoring server performance using tools such as SQL profiler
•Configuring and maintaining replication
•Configuring users and permissions
•Create tables, stored procedures, views, and triggers
•Utilize SQL Integration services to perform data transformation tasks
•Perform database backups and restores
•Review and develop database models
•Use of database design tools such as ERWIN
•Collaborating as a dedicated team member and demonstrating the ability to clearly communicate with other team members
•Communicating status reports, in verbal and written form
•Following project schedules and assignments
Requirements
•Knowledge and experience sufficient to perform responsibilities listed above
•BS degree in Computer Science or related field
•3 or more years Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and/or SQL Server 2005
•Prior DBA Experience or demonstration of equivalent knowledge
•Experience with SQL Analysis Server
•Must be able to pass background check
