Senior Sales Engineer is primarily responsible for the development, design and implementation of large scale solutions involving multiple RSA Security products and integrating with other vendor solutions. They will provide support to the sales teams in defining strategies for successful sales and implementations of a broad range of authentication, access control and federation solutions. In addition, they will be expected to present and educate customers from development staff to CxO’s, analysts and partner companies on the benefits of an RSA Security solution. Key Activities Create & deliver custom demonstrations to prospects, customers and business partners. Develop sales tools as required to meet the demands of your local business. Set and manage the customer’s expectation levels to a specific solution or project. Act as conduit between customers, product management, professional services, and engineering groups to address technical questions or concerns. Interface with mid and senior management at enterprise companies to identify their requirements and present solutions. Provide feedback to customers on product and solution enhancement requests. Providing technical presentations at customer sites, partner field sales training events, trade shows, etc.; and authoring technical response to RFP’s. Primary Skills A proficient knowledge of all RSA Security products and solutions. Demonstrate sound technical and business judgments and is recognized as a person with excellent analytical skills. Build customer trust by demonstrating leadership and defining technical and business solutions. Collaborate with & guide sales team members on product solutions, customer specific milestones, and resolving customer buying objections. Provide training on information security, emerging technologies, business issues, deployment/integration, & development/programming. Provide technical, high-level consultation to the regional sales teams. Capable of working in a variety of technical areas with an established expertise in areas that are critical to the success of the sales team. Defines RSA Security solution strategies. Integrates knowledge of software and security industry trends into the sales planning process. Identifies and drives opportunities for technical synergy among RSA Security products. Assist the sales team in the completion of RFI’s/RFP’s by providing specific information. Contribute to the sales engineering community regarding methodologies and specific areas of training Requirements 5-8 years experience as a pre-sales engineer Excellent knowledge of Enterprise Applications including (web-based applications, OS, Networking and Security) Ability to solve complex problems Wide latitude for independent judgement Works under minimal supervision Prime spokesperson for highly significant matters May assist less experienced peers Security related certifications preferred (CISSP, etc.)
