This is a set of 6 table glass or cup coasters made from Kora grass. This is a type of grass seen in abundance in South India. Items from this material are recyclable and eco-friendly. These are square shaped and have a cloth piping around the border to give it soft edges. I have some in printed cotton cloth borders and some in plain cotton cloth borders. Across the center runs a thin band of traditional South Indian embroidery called zari – the coming together of dark colored and golden thread in traditional shapes and patterns. The coaster itself is either a dark or light brown. These are lightweight, easy to maintain by cleaning with a damp cloth and very utilitarian. I have a red, dark blue and black available.
