Due to continued growth and customer demand, an excellent opportunity exists in Atlanta, Georgia for an experienced Shift Leader to contribute to meeting overall plant goals through continuous process improvement along with outstanding quality and production efficiencies.
As Shift Leader, you will: Supervise hourly employees working in the hot-end and cold-end production operations Ensure quality and productivity through consistent monitoring and performing appropriate checks; make recommendations for improvement Ensure departmental staff are adequately trained and aware of department procedures Handle 1st step grievances; coach, counsel and discipline employees per labor contract Handle safety investigations, production reports, vacation schedules and other administrative duties as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum High School diploma required 3-5 years experience supervising hourly employees or college education in related major Experience in glass manufacturing preferred Computer literacy and knowledge of informational systems
