Systems Administrator - New Product Development/Testing
We have a need for multiple systems administrators for two exciting new product development projects in the wireless industry. You will be building and maintaining the testing and training environment for these exciting new products as we build them. Your ability to support our environment is critical to our success.
Job Description -
Assist in building, maintaining and supporting QA / production-like Amdocs Ensemble and Data Enabler billing test / training environments.
Configuration management, code control, environment upgrades and general maintenance of testing environments.
Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving of environment issues related to infrastructure.
Administration and troubleshooting of 3rd party applications in support of the environment functionality.
Participate in code release walkthroughs
Responsible for identifying areas for improvement through automation and process improvements
Applies expertise to improve processes and provide guidance to employees in own area
Provide mentoring, guidance and training to team members
Lead team members to project completion
Required Skills
Amdocs and/or Tibco Experience (critical!!)
Unix
Weblogic
SQL/Oracle knowledge
Networking
Job Duties
Provide advanced troubleshooting for applications and systems using stack traces
Build, maintain, and deploy UNIX applications across multiple environments
Install and configure systems/software unassisted
Debug system services
Provide 24 x 7 on call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members
Provide senior level technical support for UNIX related project activities
Build and modify systems to meet project and user requirements
Participate in design reviews
Configure and tune hardware and software to insure optimum performance and resource utilization.
