Position reports to the Major Operations System Manager (MOS). Position will manage 3 teams approximately 50 associates. Responsibilities include working on projects in the Primary Department to improve cost, quality, safety, etc. Responsible for identifying team development needs. Keep all team Ideal Skills Mix grids current. Ensure all associates conform to safety rules and regulations. Be knowledgeable of all SAFE elements and requirements. Take needed actions to insure team operates at goal or below goal in safety quality, service, productions, etc. Ensure labor is effectively utilized to minimize variance. Facilitate effective team meetings. Follow all requirements identified in the Shaw Quality System. Complete daily shift summary with explanations of performance. Responsible for improving the skills of others by providing clear and specific feedback, effective coaching and mentoring and creating opportunities to gain experience. Position will perform other duties as assigned by the Major Operations Systems Manager. Basic computer knowledge required; databases, word processing, email, etc.

Previous management or supervisory experience in manufacturing required.

Associate Degree or equivalent required.

Salary Grade 5.
