JOB SUMMARY:
Support the overall operation, direction, and supervisory duties of the molding maintenance department and tooling department.
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:
Associate's Degree or completed apprenticeship program in a related field of study required. Six years work related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered. Engineering degree not required but would be an asset. Basic computer knowledge required. Minimum six years maintenance experience in an injection molding operation. Minimum six years experience in mold making or repair experience. Minimum two years in a supervisory position. Demonstrated organizational and communication skills (written and verbal). Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses repair, and maintenance.
MAIN DUTIES:
Develop a Total Productive Maintenance Program and Preventive Maintenance Program that meet the molding and tooling performance goals. Oversee the purchasing and the installation of equipment. Participate in budget preparation and administration, coordinating purchasing and documentation, and monitoring departmental expenditures.Work towards reducing maintenance cost on an annual basis. Implement an inventory system for equipment and mold spare parts that meet the needs of the molding department, complete with order points, parts specification and cost controls. Develop an information system to measure the success of the molding maintenance team through trend analysis and categorize these trends. Monitor employee work levels and review work performance.Counsel and assist employees as needed to enhance performance. Maintain daily records for technicians and contractors. Perform other duties as required.
