Thompson Technologies has an immediate opening for a Technical Support Professional that wants to work in a fast-paced environment.This is a 3-month contract to hire opportunity in the Alpharetta area.Must have great written verbal and written communication skills, phone support experience, and must have some familiarity with XML support.
Responsibilities
Technical support regarding PC support/access to the client's system.
Install, train, and support end users.
Knowledge and Skills
PC Experience -Windows 95, 98, NT, 2k, and XP.
Data communications experience.
knowledge ofAutomation Products.
Internet savvy (Proxy knowledge, IE, Netscape, Internet options, etc).
VPN, TCP/IP, Dialup connections, Diagnosing Internet routes (tracert, IP, etc).
HTML, Java, and XML.
Intranet/Internet functionality.
Proficient writing skills and customer service experience.
Must be able to analyze customer service/support problems while on the phone and respond immediately with resolution.
Must be able to set priorities efficiently.
Good communications skills PC Experience - DOS Knowledge/Windows 3.1,95, 98, XP and NT.
Data communications experience/knowledge necessary to effectively communicate with customers, sales, peers and other departments.
Training in telecommunications, network design, systems, and programming helpful.
