Position Objective: Work is of a technical nature and requires experience and/or knowledge of principles and techniques commonly used in the electrical field. Person is required to both repair and fabricate parts and equipment. Responsible for analyzing electrical malfunctions and correcting the problem.

Essential Duties: (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility).
Operate machine tools and shop equipment including portable tools.
Use precision instruments and tools. Replace fuses, contacts, transformers, motors, switches, relays, and timers.

Devise, fabricate, and use tools, jigs, and fixtures.
Maintain and upgrade equipment and facilities using multiple skills, natural and acquired, to do a quality job.

Work from oral and/or written instructions, prints, and sketches; take measurements and make workable sketches; prepare material list and complete necessary purchase requisitions.

Maintain tolerances and make clear, accurate, and concise reports where applicable.
Fabricate and install conduit and wire production equipment, motors, pumps, shop equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment as needed.
Utilize any natural or acquired skills to do the total job (i.e. analyze problems, make decisions, and take necessary actions and help other fixer and/or technicians).
Utilize basic skills to do the total job, exercising caution to ensure safety is never compromised.
This includes the maintaining of good housekeeping in and around the job site.
Must be able to work required overtime.
Perform all work in a logical, orderly, and skillful manner.
Operate a lift truck as needed.
Repair and replace lights.
Repair plumbing problems.
Paint equipment and/or facility.
Non-Essential Duties: (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility).
Analytical ability to read and draw blue prints.
Knowledge of advanced electrical concepts.
Welding of parts and equipment.
Will be required to participate in stretching exercises as directed by the supervisor or lead.

Required skills:

Must Pass Tech III Written and Hands-On Evaluations.

High School Diploma or GED Required.
