Hello Everyone, We are gathering a group of volunteers to help out with the cleanup and rebuilding efforts at the Cotton Mill and adjacent Cabbagetown neighborhood. As you probably know, our community was devastated by the tornado last Friday. Many people have asked how they can help, and we have a great way for people to do just that! This Saturday morning (March 22) at 10am, we are going to be meeting at the back gate to the Cotton Mill on Carroll St. to organize into work groups. Some people may be asked to help around the Cotton Mill, while others may be asked to help in the neighborhood behind the mill. There are PLENTY of opportunities to help the community that has been hit so hard. Boulevard is currently closed from Memorial Dr. to Dekalb Ave. To get to the site, you must take Krog St. off Dekalb Ave. and then turn right on Wylie, then Right on Tennelle which ends on Carroll St. If you can attend, please consider bringing items such as: + Work gloves + Boots or other closed toed shoes + Shovels, brooms, saws, trash bags, etc. + A smile and a great work ethic :) If you are unable to help out with physical labor but you still want to help in some way, we encourage you to come down and provide food and water to the workers in the various homes and in the mill. As someone who was on the receiving end of this generosity last Saturday, I can tell you that it means the world in times like this. If anyone has questions about any of this, please contact me so I can give you additional information. Thanks!
