UNIX Administrator or Engineer - To Learn IBM Netcool
Minimum Experience Accepted:
2+ years as UNIX Admin or Engineer, expert scripting skills, SNMP, fault, trouble, or performance management
Job description:
This is not an entry level position and the person needs to be able to support Netcool in 1 month and must be available to travel at least 3 weeks (75%) each month.
We have a unique and marvelous opportunity for Unix Systems Administrators that wants to take their career to the next level. We are offering training on IBM/Micromuse Netcool products for qualified candidates that will lead to a Consulting career path within our organization. Super strong UNIX skills are a must. Some experience in Service Assurance- Fault, Trouble, Problem, Performance Management, and experience with large telecommunications organizations are strongly preferred.
Minimum Required Skills and Experience
•At least 2 years of UNIX Administrator experience - preferably in a Solaris Environment
•At least 2 years of scripting in Perl, Shell, etc,
•At least 2 years of SNMP- Network Protocol experience
Desired Skills and Experience
•Netcool experience- even as an administrator
•SQL, Oracle, DB2, other Network Monitoring tools experience
•Experience working for a large telecommunications company

This is a Full Time salaried position - $50K- $80K with Reachview Technologies.
