Job Title:Van Driver Department:24/7 Gateway Center FLSA Status:Hourly Non-Exempt SUMMARY:Drives vehicle to transport individuals to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive vehicle to destination to pick up or to deliver persons or products. Maintain van log according to state and federal regulations. Maintain telephone contact with center to receive instructions.Assist clients in loading and unloading from the vehicle. Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, tire chains, and installing light bulbs. Transport clients to approved and confirmed external appointments, programs, and services. Coordinate the upkeep and maintenance of vehicle.This includes keeping theinterior and exterior of the vehicle clean and serviced.Follow the Gateway Center vehicle service schedule and procedure, maintain mileage logs, and report any problems immediately to the executive assistant. Maintain a safe vehicle and work environment while protecting the assets of AUM Community Ministries, LLC. Practice safe driving and the proper use of tools and equipment at all times and insist others do the same. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:There are no supervisory responsibilities related to other employees.
