A Thompson Technologies client in Atlanta, GA has a current contract to permanent opening for Project Coordinator in Atlanta.This is a junior position requiring experience with web projects. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for helping to keep assigned projects on track, and assist in carrying them through to completion. This is accomplished by assisting both Programmers, Designers and Management with tasks associated with defining and managing the assigned project pieces.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinating multiple activities with varying timelines from initiation through release to production.
Maintaining project schedules and reports.
Tracking progress against project plans.
Handling meeting facilitation.
Gathering and communicating business goals.
Maintaining project issues and bug lists.
Managing project and enhancement requests through the internal reporting process.
Coordinating changes that have system wide effects and communicating changes to staff.
Monitoring projects for adherence to documented Software Development Plan.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a minimum of one year experience within a web-based technical, project management and/or project coordinator related setting.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities.
Must have working knowledge of MS application software (i.e. Word, Excel and Project).
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and work independently.
Demonstrated reliability along with the ability to drive for results.
Ability to work in a team environment and be open to change.
Must be detail oriented and accurate.
